Amidst the heat and dust of his ambitious political
campaign,
His kin’s debts were high and resources too meagre to
sustain;
The duo deluged with their propaganda of leading the
country out of its morass,
Not hesitating to trigger communal sentiments or incite
feuds and fracas;
Expressing deep concern and sympathy for the plight of the
poor,
The kin chased his mentor, accompanying him in all his
tirade and tour;
Alas! Their diligent effort yielded result, propelling them
to power again,
Providing the kin with new opportunities to prosper and inflate
his gain;
But soon his maze of business activities exposed family
honour to attack,
Straining the protective shield around the family, making
orifices & cracks;
Thwarting the activist’s mission of setting a cat among the
pigeons,
The charges against the kin were dismissed as preposterous,
an illusion;
Ironically, the Opposition resorting to obfuscation refused
to probe or arouse,
Itself at the receiving end, who would dare to throw stones
from a glass house?
