Ripened by age but driven by his determination,
He aspires to make India a corruption free nation;
Anna Hazare, a brave soldier struggling sans sword,
Commands thy strength and support as his reward;
To awaken and enlighten each citizen and stir a revolution,
Against condemnable malpractices like rampant corruption;
A lethal menace that has pervaded deep into our society,
Widening the gaps, inducing a sense of fear and anxiety;
The fear of failures and retarded growth and development,
That might propel us to the path of shame and embarrassment;
The anxiety of losing the nation in the hands of corrupt leaders,
Who have invaded our lives, carrying out loot and plunder;
We, who have for long basked in the glory of India’s past,
The blasts of scams and scandals, striking one after the other,
Have vandalized our country, compelling us to sob and suffer;
“Thoust existence on Earth should not go in vain”, Anna proclaims,
Fighting for a corruption free nation should be thy primary aim;
The corrupt and underachievers have polluted the political arena,
It’s time to safeguard the nation and fight with valor and
stamina;
Let all countrymen unite irrespective of their caste, religion or
creed,
And support a strong Jan Lokpal Bill, to rise, prosper and succeed.
