Opression of Opposition

Rather than grilling and exposing the government on its
failings,
The Opposition has reveled in vainglorious claims and lampooning;
Unabashedly criticizing and beleaguering the government on its
stand,
It has disabused all its policies, terming them as irrelevant
and bland;
And with the ruling dispensation reneging on its obligations,
The economic situation has exacerbated, triggering a
conflagration;
This has bedeviled the common man, pushing him to the brink,
Burning a hole in his pocket, causing his meager resources to
shrink;
The belligerent Opposition is busy in nitpicking and quibbling,
Trying to appease the voters with blithe ignorance of their
sufferings;
It pretends to be a stalwart supporter of the rich and the poor
alike,
By indulging in acrimonious agitations against ‘reforms’ and
price hike;
Neither the authority, nor the Opposition triumph in this
combat,
